I have managed to source some cheap accomodation 12 miles from the venue, and we hope tto be able to arrange lifts. Full details are on the wiki at
http://grandtribunal.ekkaia.org/page/Accomodation

While trains are available, we hope to arrange car pooling or even if necessary a minibus to the venues on Friday and Saturday This thread is for people who have chosen to take advantage of the cheap prices there so we can make the necessary arrangements.

It has a bar, and a Travelodge full of Ars gamers does mean the event can become 24 hour! Smile So once you have booked, if you choose to pursue this option ((from £8 a person with three sharing) let me know. Next time i will just stage the whole event in a cheap travelodge!

I just booked one of those family rooms. Two, hopefully three, representatives from the Norwegian Tribunal will be sleeping there.

We'll probably have a rental car, but are a bit worried aboout all the crazy Brits driving on the wrong side of the road. Cool
We should be able to squeeze in one or two slender passengers back and forth to the venues

If you have a licence and are used to driving on the left, the slenderness is not an issue. You'll be put behind the wheel Smile

That's from Stansted Airport, near Cambridge right? Your kind of offer of a lift will be much appreciated, as I'm sure there ar people coming from London. The alternative is that you catch the coach from Stansted to Oxford (via Cambridge- about 3 and a half hours) and then a second bus from Oxford to Cheltenham. However a hire car might well work out much cheaper, but I will make enquiries tomorrow.

I will also wok out a sane route for the Norwegian invasion! Smile

If Stansted turns out what you are coming from or passing by, I'd raise my finger as one of those in search of a lift, since I will most probably arrive at this airport.

We'll be coming from Stanstead, yes.

My flight lands at Stanstead at 19:30, so it'll probably another hour before we're ready to leave. So if our time schedules fits, pm, you can join us, no problem.

Hi chaps!

Please note that my previous email address cj@falster23.freeserve.co.uk which appears on several posts regarding Grand Tribunal is no longer valid. My email account was cancelled without warning, so now I am unable to access emails sent to that address, or for that matter log in as admin as I can't get a new password issued. Sad

The admin password will be sorted shortly hopefully, and all correspondence should be sent to chris.romer@blueyonder.co.uk

I shall update the wiki with correct details. If you are awaiting a reply please do email me again. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I couldn't get into this one but for those with cars, Burford Travelodge might be able to help.
