Inky Fingers, Hearts Aflame! is the name for the Ars Magica Freeform LARP which will run on the afternoon at the con between about 1pm and 6pm. Admission is free to all delegates, and dressing up is required - but nothing too onerous!

Note that if you choose NOT to participate in the Freeform, there will be plenty more going on. I currently plan to have sixteen players for this event, which is similar to The Fallen Fane in style - strictly no contact, no weapons, and no running! Smile We call this style Freeform in the uK, but it is not the same as "Freeform-rpg" - you may understand it as "theatre style gaming"

I'm still writing the game, but it is set at a meeting (not a Tribunal for once!) called at Blackthorn in the Stonehenge Tribunal. A number of magi have attended with their young apprentices, and unpredictable things happen....

If you'd like to play, feel free to post here stating your preference for a Apprentice role or a Magi role, or a Grog or Companion, and preferred House if applicable.

Also feel free to ask questions. Full explanations will be provided. I will probably update the wiki with most details as we go as well.... To avoid the "committee meeting" feel of some Ars LARPs I have played in, I am avoiding the Tribunal setting, and there will be simple magic rules to add to the fun!

So, who wants to play?

Just to confirm that Erik Dahl has signed up for the game, and we are working on his character. Cheers Erik!

I'd love to play. I have a couple of suitable costumes. One is suitable for a character that travels and the other is more stay-at-home. Both for a female character, of course. I don't mind what I play as long as I can take part!

"Freeform-rpg" and "theatre style gaming" both sound promising, and I would be glad to be counted in. As far as characters are concerned, I would prefer the supportive cast rather than a spotlight catcher, so maybe a grog or companion would be best. Coming from Far Far Away [TM] by means of public transportation, I won't be able to bring the most fancy garb.

Pitt, I shall make you the Senechal, the companion in charge of the administration and running of Blackthorn. Have you seen Heirs to Merlin?

So far we have Sheila - maga (Schola Pythagoranis), Erik mage - (Blackthorn) and Neil also a mage (Cad Gadu).
